Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE)

IDDE aims to minimize the effect of illicit discharges within the municipality, with dry weather inspections of storm sewer outfalls performed regularly.

Construction Stormwater Management (CSW)

With CSW, public or private construction activities must select, install, implement and maintain stormwater control measures that comply with local erosion and sediment control, pollution prevention and other stormwater requirements.

Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSW)

PCSW requires the permittee to develop or maintain, implement and enforce programs to control stormwater discharges from new development and redeveloped sites. This applies to private and public development sites, including roads.

Good Housekeeping / Pollution Prevention (GH/PP)

GH/PP minimizes the effect of the municipality’s contribution of stormwater pollutants into receiving waters. Certain operations have been identified to have the greatest likelihood to cause pollution to stormwater runoff, so municipal employees are educated and trained in standard operation procedures to reduce these pollutants.
